The Siemenpuu Foundation seeks to support Liberian and Mozambican projects to strengthen the rights of local communities dependent on forests and small-scale farming, to improve these communities’ livelihoods and to conserve biodiversity. Projects funded within the scheme may also focus on supporting local communities in developing agroecological practices – particularly in forested areas - in order to diversify livelihood options and nurture agricultural biodiversity. Grant size averages €35 thousand to €180 thousand (in case of a 36-month proposal maximum of €300 thousand may be considered). Local, registered Civil Society Organizations in Liberia are eligible to apply. Concept papers have to be submitted by 23 May 2022.
