The National Geographic Society seeks proposals for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that support the discovery of new species, bridge biodiversity gaps, and accelerate biodiversity data collection, identification, and classification. Priority will be given to projects that use AI to address challenges in filling biodiversity data gaps, generate data and develop open-source technologies, or use AI and machine learning to process massive and complex datasets. Proposals may request US$5 thousand to US$100 thousand. The deadline is January 2020.
