The Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship provides opportunities for an academic year of international travel and storytelling in up to three countries on a globally significant theme. For the 2020-21 competition, the Fellowship will accept proposals to undertake an in-depth examination of a globally relevant issue (possibly within the thematic areas of the Terra Viva Grant Directory). In addition to financial support, participants will receive training in professional storytelling. Eligibility for the fellowships is limited to U.S. citizens. Applications will be accepted for any country where there is an active Fulbright U.S. Student Program, with the exception of China. Deadline for applications is 08 October 2019.
